We found the camper to be an ideal vehicle for the weekly shop - in fact we could have just put the trolley into the large garage!!

After another leg along the Adriatic coast the vineyards gradually gave way to olive trees and we arrived in Bari for the overnight ferry to Greece. Bari is a chaotic place with a faded feel and totally devoid of any rules of the road.
A top tip - if you've booked online, the ferry ticket collection is right inside the main port over to the right hand side and not at any of the half a dozen places which well intentioned locals directed me to in the searing heat. Several ferries run across to Greece and we booked with Agoudimos Lines here. You have to be careful when you book to make sure that you are heading off to the right destination and whether it stops off en route - a large saving can be made with Greek ferries by making your reservation in advance and this is certainly recommended when 'Camping on Board' as spaces are limited.
With smoldering flip flops and high stress levels we eventually checked in with minutes to spare and drove on to the ferry. For the timid amongst you, the manoeuvering on board was a challenge with plenty of three point turns and reversing, but once in our 240v hook up was attached by the friendly crew and we enjoyed a cold glass of Prosecco from the well stocked fridge.
After a comfortable night sleeping in our own camper on board the Ionian King we went up on deck to see Corfu disappearing and Kefalonia in the distance. A bright sunny morning saw us spill out onto the small quay at Sami to head off for our beachfront campsite. We had arrived!!
